The Tardana grape of Manchuela grew many years ago camouflaged among the centuries-old vineyards of Bobal to give that softness to red wines, as was done in the past. It is a white, minority and native variety of our area. It suffered an excessive start in the 90s to replant red varieties, but when we preserved these old strains of Tardana, we multiplied their buds in a nursery and were able to carry out a new planting and, with it, obtain a vineyard of Tardana 100%.
The maturation of this variety refers to its name, it is the grape that takes the longest to mature. The Tardana grape is harvested in early October, ending the harvest with this variety. The clusters and berries are medium in size, with fine and delicate skin.
An exceptional care in the vineyard to obtain a special wine with a manual harvest. After grape selection and fermentation with native yeasts in barrels, the wine ages in 7 new 500-litre French oak barrels for 6 months.
Wine look clean, bright, with a straw yellow tone, notes of fennel and mineral points giving a pleasant, fresh and elegant mouth feeling.
