Our history is not kept in ancient books, but in the deep roots of our oldest strains.
Since 1905, we are a family of winegrowers who have learned to listen to the earth, to respect its cycles and to transform its essence into wines that speak of who we are and where we come from: Casas-Ibáñez, the heart of La Manchuela.
It all began with a humble dream and an unwavering conviction. At the beginning of the 20th century, our great-grandfather planted the first vines in this land of character, a plateau at more than 700 meters of altitude where the sun of justice and cool nights forge exceptional grapes.
They were times of manual labor, of barren hands and of a blind faith in Bobal, the native variety that already then demonstrated its strength and its ability to adapt.
Those first vines were not only the origin of a vineyard; were the foundations of a philosophy of life: the love for the countryside and the pride of a job well done.
Generation after generation, the Vega Tolosa family grew up with the vineyard.
Our grandparents consolidated the legacy, overcoming difficult times with the resilience that the field teaches. They taught us that patience is the best fertilizer and that a careful vineyard always returns the effort.
It was our father, Juan Miguel Tolosa, who took the decisive step.
With the vision of one who knows the potential of his treasure, he built the modern winery and made a courageous decision: stop selling the fruit of our labor to others to start bottling our own history.
It was an act of reaffirmation, the moment when our last name was forever attached to wine, promising quality and authenticity in every bottle.
There came a time when looking forward meant going back to the origins. Conversion to organic farming was not a market strategy, it was a statement of principles. We understood that to achieve truly expressive wines, we needed a living, healthy and balanced land.
We stopped fighting nature to start collaborating with it. We promote biodiversity, eliminate synthesis products and rely on ecosystem rhythms. This pact has given us purer grapes, more honest wines and the enormous satisfaction of knowing that we take care of the land that will take care of future generations. For us, the ecological seal is not a label on the bottle, it is the reflection of our soul in the vineyard.
More than 115 years later, the same passion that moved our great-grandfather is still intact.
Today, the fourth generation fuses inherited wisdom with current knowledge to create wines that excite, tell the story of our terroir and bear the unmistakable imprint of our family.
Now, we invite you to taste our wines.
