It is born and grows in the interior of the Mediterranean arc, in very specific areas such as La Manchuela between the provinces of Albacete and Cuenca, and Utiel-Requena, in the interior of Valencia.
Territories of contrasts, of cold winters and intense summers, where the earth demands patience and the climate teaches respect.

Here, Bobal doesn't just survive. Here he finds his place.

It is a strong variety, accustomed to water scarcity, the harsh summer sun and temperature changes. That is why it develops a thick skin, a high concentration of color and a natural richness in beneficial compounds.

But the nicest thing is how all that translates into wine.

It has been part of our vineyards, our landscape and our family history for generations. We've seen her grow, resist, adapt, and we've also learned from her.

Therefore, when we decided to bet on this variety, we did not do it thinking only about wine.
We did it thinking about everything around.

In caring for the land as our grandparents did.
In working in ecological, respecting natural cycles and avoiding forcing what the vineyard does not need.
In conserving old vineyards that are part of the heritage of the area.
And in demonstrating that from a rural environment you can create value, future and opportunities.

Because we believe that wine can also be an engine of development.
That can fix population, generate employment and make sense to continue cultivating these lands.

And within that path, the Bobal occupies a very special place.

Here it is often surprising how well a wine works as Finca Los Halcones Bobal.
It has that connection with the soil that accompanies vegetables very well, respecting their flavors and providing depth without covering them.
