GOLD MEDAL FOR VEGA TOLOSA IN THE XXI EDITION OF THE BACCHUS INTERNATIONAL CONTEST

Pagos de Familia Vega Tolosa has received a new award in the XXI Edition of the Bacchus International Competition, held last April in Madrid.

Bacchus has been organized since 1996 by the Spanish Union of Tasters, recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain and endorsed by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), and the World Federation of Large Wine Competitions (VINOFED).

In this contest one of our wines has been awarded with a Bacchus Gold Medal, the winner has been Capricho DiVino. In its last edition, more than 1,700 wines from 16 countries participated and the categories of reds, whites, rosés, sparkling wines, sweets and vermouths were valued in a strict blind tasting.

Vega Tolosa, a family winery of Casas Ibáñez (Albacete) in full expansion, we have managed to grab the attention of critics and the public. The winery located in La Manchuela, specifically in Casas Ibáñez (Albacete) has old ecological vineyards of Bobal, grown in the Cabriel Valley area declared by UNESCO as "Biosphere Reserve". Pagos de Familia Vega Tolosa is the third generation of a ‘Tolosa’ surname linked to the countryside, which with more than 30 years of work has cultivated our vineyards in order to produce the best wines, organic, vegan, covered by the Manchuela PDO and thus be able to market them throughout the world.

This award is a true honor for Pagos de Familia Vega Tolosa, and gives us the confidence to continue working on the production of exceptional wines. We are proud to produce wines that reflect the richness of our land, and this award gives us confidence that we are on the right track.
